Fabrication and erection of two off A Type frames mounted on wheeled boogies to assemble free issued beams for the top gantry section |
 | Designed to lift 350t concrete blocks (for Saldanha Dock backfill retainment walls). The Gantry dimensions were 10m high and 18m across. It was assembled with the use of a 25 ton mobile crane. |
"A" Frames were part fabricated in the SA Five Workshop (Blackheath, in transportable size), assembled on site and erected.
